A personalized schedule balances the need for reliable monitoring to avoid unnecessary testing. The result is a plan shaped by the person’s treatment response rather than a fixed calendar applied to everyone.
When Monitoring May Become More Frequent Again
Even after a long period of stable results, the laboratory schedule may change if new clinical questions arise. Kidney and liver function tests can help monitor how the body is processing medication. A complete blood count can provide information about red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Cholesterol, blood sugar, and other metabolic measurements may also be checked depending on age, health history, and the treatment regimen.
Screening for other infections may be included because some conditions can affect overall health without causing immediate symptoms. Periodic STI testing and treatment may be part of a broader preventive care plan based on individual circumstances.
